Processing of citrus fruits and its derivatives
SAC – Succhi Agrumi Calabresi – was founded in 1997 and started in the processing of citrus fruits and its derivatives. Production consisted mainly of concentrated citrus juices, concentrates of turbid extracts and citrus essential oils.
Between 2008 and 2009 the company is transformed, investing in laboratories, cold rooms and mixing stations.
To date, SAC is focused on the processing of citrus concentrates and on services to be offered to third parties.
Within the plant area there is a wastewater recovery system in an area of 1,000 square meters with a capacity of 30 cubic meters of clean water per day.
Lo stabilimento di Rizziconi, è costituito da un capannone di m. 110 x 36 ed altezza di m. 10. Intorno all'edificio c’è una superficie di 15000 metri quadrati.
Inside, there are machines for concentrating the juice, 7 refrigerator cells with pallet spaces and tank spaces, for a total storage capacity of approximately 1400 tonnes in 40 tanks (35 tonnes each) and 1600 tonnes on site pallets (drums and vats), a new area of approximately 250 m2 used as a blending station, a department for the distillation of essential oils and the production of flavored clouding pastes and three laboratories, one of which for the quality control of juices, one for bacteriological controls and one for enzymatic analyses.
SAC has two mixing stations, two filling points for drums/containers, two loading stations for vehicles and two stations for loading and unloading containers.
Currently the average annual production is about 2,000 tons of concentrated product with certain possibilities of expansion, thanks to recent investments aimed at strengthening production capacity.
